quality assurance
QA or quality control; ensuring that the results of your processes have high quality, measured my minimization of flaws in design and production and by product success and customer satisfaction. Quality assurance can be implemented throughout a design process (not just at the end), not only through following the standard recommended processes, but by making sure those processes have review/verification/validation phases associated with them. All designs can be double-checked for correctness, conformance to standards, consistency, cost-effectiveness, conformance to project requirements, compatibility, safety, usability (through user testing), and so forth.
