feature inspection
a usability inspection technique that identifies the tasks that a user would perform with an application and the features of the application that would be used to perform those tasks. Each feature is then evaluated for whether it is understandable, useful, and actually available to the user when needed. This approach emphasizes the importance of functionality to achieving usability. This approach also avoids feature creep by emphasizing the appropriate set of features and by prioritizing them in the critical tasks.
