exit tunnel
a sequence of screens the user views when they leave a website (or any media presentation), parallel to the use of an entry tunnel to enter a website, but much harder to enforce on the web than an entry tunnel. The exit tunnel enables the designer to impose a message on the user, enabling the main points of the website to be reinforced for the user. Exit tunnels are not a recommended approach even where they can be enforced, such as CDROM presentations, because they force the user thru an undesirable path without the consent of the user.
