embedded help
text that is integrated into the user interface and provides instructions right next to the part of the interface that it applies to. It is not a separate help system and not even something that needs to be requested by the user, but rather is simply on the screen.
This is an extremely common approach for walk-up-and-use systems, displays, and systems that are infrequently used, such as kiosks, many types of websites, and many multimedia titles.
