content blueprint
a specification for the content that will be needed in creating a website or multimedia presentation. The blueprint specifies every page or screen and what components are needed for each. A typical way to specify the necessary elements is to supply a screen layout with each item labeled (the screen layout doesn’t have to be final, but merely indicative of the content elements and the constraints on them, such as size and relationship to other elements). The list of pages usually comes directly from a site architecture. This, in combination with a style guide (specifying the look of graphic elements, such as fonts and colors, and the writing style), provides the primary information needed by content developers. They then create all of the detailed information in the form of a script.
