Overview
MISI Company, LTD. is currently seeking a Research Associate to join our User Experience Group. Within this role, the ideal candidate will assist in all aspects of usability/design projects, including facilitating interview sessions with research participants, collecting and preparing research data, and participating in presentations to clients. Candidates must have strong analytical, communication and presentation skills.
Responsibilities:
Under the leadership of the User Experience Strategists and Analysts:
- Identify, coordinate and schedule study participants and research facilities
- Conduct research activities, such as interviewing participants, observing their interactions with websites, capturing focus group feedback, etc.
- Compile and analyze notes, survey results, questionnaire responses, video tapes, etc.
- Prepare website usability research approach and method
- Create surveys, questionnaires, and scripts
- Compile and document findings of the research and identify patterns and trends
- Translate research results into actionable designs and prioritized recommendations
- Conduct heuristic evaluations and competitive audits of websites
- Present findings and recommendations to clients
- Work with graphic designers, information architects & developers
- Support the development of wireframes, mock-ups, prototypes and websites
Requirements:
- BS/BA or work experience in psychology, human factors, human computer interaction, usability engineering, design, or related field
- Strong computer skills, specifically MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- Excellent oral and written communication and presentation skills
- Ability to multi-task and thrive in a fast-paced environment
- Some travel will be required
