Qualifications
Minimum education and skill requirements:
- Associate's degree required.
- Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Three years working as webmaster/web admin using Flash, HTML and JavaScript.
- Experience working with video (multiple formats) and video editing software.
- Has clear understanding of web administration functions and video production process.
- Knowledge of web analytics (Omniture), and e-commerce technologies.
- Project management experience.
- Highly-developed attention to detail.
- Strong commitment to producing a high quality work product.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to collaborate with various job functions within company – editorial, technical, operations, research, sales, etc.
- Informed on current events, world happenings and pop culture
- Strong sense for visually appealing and compelling video.
Desirable skills:
- Knowledge of web analytics (Omniture), and e-commerce technologies.
- Project management experience.
Duties:
- Website Management – Manage and maintain site by overseeing content, client usability, optimization and administration.
- Coordinate with ImageSource Account Executives, Researchers and CNN Library to identify and update content that showcases the offerings and engages the users.
- Web analytics/measurement – Track and evaluate site performance, making appropriate adjustments and recommending/implementing enhancements to capitalize on trends.
- Potentially write, implement and analyze web-based surveys or marketing campaigns for users.
- Website enhancements – Manage and coordinate with DMT, BEST, Media Ops, CNN Library, ImageSource staff and other groups where appropriate to identify and implement enhancements that showcase the content, engage the user and improve the functionality of the site.
- Conduct competitive site tracking/reporting/analysis and communicate findings to ImageSource team on a regular basis.
- Work in conjunction with Product Developer to identify/implement content changes and enhancements.
- Other tasks and projects as assigned.
