User Experience Designer: Mission Critical

Job description

Help solve a business critical interaction challenge… for one of the largest e-commerce companies.

The company has received 20 awards for excellence from the internet industry and the business community. There is a new company-wide initiative that will require the additional 3 User Experience Designers. The ideal candidate is a seasoned UI designer with Visual Design capabilities. The position itself will entail 70% UI and 30% Visual Design.

You must be able to present your ideas well and be able to communicate with product managers and technical teams to flush out ideas.

Roles and responsibilities:

  • Working closely with a cross-functional team to assess product requirements, the designer will translate requirements into concepts and elegant user design, interaction models, user task flows, screen designs, and UI details that promote ease of use and optimize the user experience for various online payment products
  • Organize these design details into a complete user experience design specification to be used as a blueprint for development
  • Work closely with user research team members to better understand the user by testing the usability of features and conceptual designs
  • Have practical experience employing user centered design methods
  • Have a good understanding of executing to Brand to influence a rich user experience for a global market
  • Be self-motivated and able to make logical decisions to ensure the overall success of the project by creating designs that seamlessly address customer and business concerns and objectives
  • Keep abreast of current design tools, techniques and methodologies
  • Be willing to challenge traditional design thinking and look for new and innovative ways to approach design projects and improve streamline the user experience
