Description
MissionStaff's Philadelphia client is looking for an Interactive Art Director to manage the corporate creative team's day-to-day activities, and set the creative course for assigned projects. This is a full-time opportunity with excellent benefits. This person must have a strong strategic design background in order to guide “big picture” for the creative team and all its properties. The Interactive Art Director drives deliverables and delegates responsibilities to a team composed of project leads, UI designers and developers, visual designers, photographers, illustrators, and sound and video engineers. Establishes relationships with outside vendors for technologies, agencies, designers, animators, video production, photographers or illustrators when necessary. Responsible for hands-on management of staff.
Qualifications
- Must posses the ability to lead concepting, as well as lead presentation, applications and promotional designs.
- Ability to conceptualize designs, lead presentation, applications and promotional designs from the big picture and delegate responsibilities accordingly.
- Ability to manage internal and external stakeholder relationships.
- Hands-on experience managing creative teams, including designers and developers.
- Comprehensive knowledge of cutting-edge creative media, and technology.
- Portfolio of multi-media and interactive work required.
Experience
- BFA, BA, MFA or relevant degree preferred.
- Minimum 5 years experience in interactive design required, with at least 3 of those years managing a team.
- Expert level Photoshop, Illustrator, Flash, HTML, and iWorks.
- Proficiency in Fireworks, CSS, Dreamweaver, GoLive.
- Knowledge of browser and code technologies and limitations and has an understanding of Video technology as it relates to online video delivery.
- Superior visual literacy and expert understanding of typography, illustration, and photography.
